SCRAPBOOK BOUTIQUE JULY 2014 CHALLENGE FOR AUSTRALIA

Hi everyone this is the first time I have ever entered a challenge so decided to try out what I could do.  The link to the challenge is here if you want to take a look:

I decided to make a cupcake gift card holder.  The gift card come out the top where the large flower is as you can see in photo 2.  I used the colours as per the challenge & this is the only one I have entered ever.  The reason or title for the gift card can be place on the rosette flower at the top.  It was created using a peat pot, styrofoam ball, paper & wild order craft flowers.  Hope you like it.

A SWAP I DID EARLIER IN THE YEAR

These are photos of a swap I was in on one of the blogs last year.  I won't mention the blog ning site as it didn't turn out too well for me but I enjoyed doing it.  We were supposed to make tags & put trims on them.  A certain length & width but I decided to throw in quite a few extras.  Well one of the girls I swapped with just sent some trims & no tags the other who had just had an operation did okay with what she sent me but I won't enter another swap on that blog though.  This is what each person received from me.

WEDDING CARD FOR A FRIEND

I have a friend who got married recently and he is always playing pranks on me so I thought I would return the favour.  This is the card I made them for their wedding.  If you knew Mick you would understand he cracked up about it.  I am making up for it though by making them a small album complete with photos though.

The album was a kit from A scrap in time which came with everything in the kit to finish like this.  I absolutely adore this kit & wish they would do more to this standard.  The book box Teresa purchased & sent & I used the same Graphic 45 paper to finish this so Brock could store his Kindy items in.  I had started this when I saw a video from mybutterflykisses12 on you tube so some of the ideas were taken from her video.  Check her out she does some wonderful work.

Magnolia Pirate Frame

This is a frame I made using some of my magnolia stamps. I have popped all the images after I fussy cut them out. I printed the pirate chest from the internet & also the image for the flag. I used a piece of material on the sails & made them 3D also. I hand drew the boat & cut it out then inked the edges with tim holtz distress inks. I will do a you tube on this & some other items I've made as soon as I remember how to do it.

A couple of purses

A girl from work wanted a couple of items to presents in for her mother & mother in law so this is what I came up with. She loved them as did the recipients. Hope you do too. They were made using the little boxes from Michaels or Joanns.

I would like to introduce you to the newest edition to my house Dakota. She is a wolf/shepherd cross ridgeback. Looks more like her dad than mum. Wish her ears would make up their minds if they are going up or down because they look weird at the moment. I have also included photos of Dakota with Stubbie who are new best friends. Stubbie drinks Dakota's milk so Dakota steals Stubbie's bread.

STUBBIE THE POCKET PONY

My son & his girlfriend have a pocket pony named Stubbie who had colic. The vet advised them to give him some beer to settle his tummy & should cure him. It did but after three stubbies he was staggering around like he was drunk & laid down on the lawn. He was fine the next day.

PARTY ACCEPTANCE MADE FOR FRIEND

A friend was invited to a masquerade party & she wanted something different as her acceptance so she asked me to make her something. This is all I could come up with & the acceptance was printed out on the computer & stuck to the rear of the mask.
